So. My Vitamix is working again. It turns out it just overheated because of the dates I was trying to blend the other day and when it overheats it shuts itself down for a few hours. Well that’s nice to know. Thanks to that, I lost 1 week’s worth of smoothie making…for nothing.
I’m back in my blending groove and thought I would share this refreshing smoothie with you today. It tastes exactly like those Cyclone popsicles from the drugstore, but there’s absolutely nothing bad for you in this drink. I ordered some Baobab powder and thought this would be the perfect time to use it. If you haven’t heard, Baobab powder is a 100% natural and organic African superfruit. It has been used medicinally for hundreds of years to treat vitamin C deficiency, malaria, gastrointestinal issues and fevers. It has somewhat of a citrus-tangy flavour, which blends in beautiful with the lemon and lime used in this smoothie. If you wants an extra boost of energy, invest in this product as it contains a huge amount of vitamin C.
