If you’ve been following us on social media, you may have noticed that we have a strong love and appreciation for Smoothies.
You also might be wondering why we would opt for such a cold breakfast option when it’s freezing outside. The answer is simple, they allow us to get creative with the most nutritious ingredients. It would be impossible for us to wake up and eat a bunch of spinach, but we sure can if it’s added to our smoothie. And that’s the whole concept, getting as many nutrients as possible in an easy, fun, colourful, inspiring way. The best part is, you can shove them in a mason jar and enjoy on the go.
Here is a recipe for 2 that looks great in a bowl.
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 kiwis
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 cup Choco Coco granola by Clean Eats
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/3 cup pistachios
- Mix all ingredients except for granola, chia seeds and pistachios in a blender.
- Pour into bowls and top with granola, chia seeds and pistachios. You can add more granola and pistachios depending on how hungry you are.
